This is a 19th century Tintype of a Man Seated in a Corner. This half length studio portrait shows a man with his hands folded in his lap sitting in what has been set up to look like the corner of a room. There s a small painting hung high above his head. He is wearing what appears to be a wool or felt suit with the jacket buttoned at the top. He stares, unsmiling, away from the camera, showing a three quarter view of his face. The photograph measures 3.5" by 2.5" and has been sepia-toned. The emulsion of this Tintype of a Man Seated in a Corner is in very good condition. However, there are several linear dents in the top of the tin.
