This Antique German China Doll Head is quite large at 6" high and 10.75" in circumference with shoulders that measure 4.25" across. She has molded and painted black curly hair with a center part, a hairstyle typically found in china head dolls produced in the 1890's. Her white glazed porcelain has hand painted features, including large blue eyes with brown and black lines above them, long black eyebrows, a red bow mouth, red dots in the nostrils, and red tinted cheeks. She has an incised "7" at the back base of her shoulder plate. There are four holes at the base of the shoulder plate for attachment to a body. The interior of the head is stuffed with the original cotton. The head is unmarked and the maker is unknown. This Antique German China Doll Head is in very good condition with slight wear to the paint on her hair.
