1937 Book Covers from History of Art: Ancient Art

These are the intact 1937 Book Covers from History of Art: Ancient Art written by Eli Faure and published by Garden City Publishing Co.  Each cover measures 8.375" high by 5.375" wide.  They are connected by a 1.5" spine.  On the front cover, the textured navy blue book cloth is imprinted with 40 identical gold circles, each filled with a Gothic cross and four swirling leaf decorations.  The spine continues this pattern, interrupted by a white rectangular box with the author's name, book title, and publisher in gold.  The back cover is unembellished textured navy blue book cloth.  The end papers were white, but have yellowed over time with a browning around the edges of the spine.  The original price for 99 cents from the May Co. is still attached.  These 1937 Book Covers from History of Art: Ancient Art are in Very Good condition with no damage.  There is some wear to the gold on the bottom half of the spine.  Ideal for use in art projects.
