This is an 1892 Chromolithograph of Moses Smiting the Rock from the Holy Bible published by Gately and Fitzgerald of Philadelphia.  The print refers to the text in Numbers 20:11 which reads: "And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock."  It shows Moses with a raised cane and outstretched hand, after he has brought water out of the rocks.  Several men and a woman are collecting the water, while the rest of the congregation and a camel wait for their turns.  Measuring 10.5" high by 8.5" wide, the chromolithograph has intricate details and vibrant colors, which were produced by Geo. S. Harris & Sons of Philadelphia (a well-known printing company of the time).  The paper is tan in color and medium in weight.  This 1892 Chromolithograph of Moses Smiting the Rock is in Very Good condition with no tears or damage.  Ideal for framing.
