This Vintage Embroidered Postcard of a Greek Costume from Hydra is number 7 in a series of these postcards made and signed by Isabel in the 1970's. Hydra is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece, located in the Aegean Sea and had a traditional woman's costume with full skirt and full sleeves, tight-fitting embroidered vest and decorative head scarf. One of the variations of this costume is shown on this 5.75" by 4" heavy cardboard postcard, printed in Athens. The skirt and shirt have been embroidered with red and white silk threads, while the vest is in royal blue and gold silk threads. The smiling woman, holding a candle, is walking by the seaside which has a boat and an arch with a bell. This Vintage Embroidered Postcard of a Greek Costume from Hydra is in Like New condition. It comes in its original packaging with a light blue price(?) insert.
