This Vintage Embroidered Postcard of a Greek Costume from Rhodos (Rhodes) is number 2 in a series of postcards made and signed by Isabel in the 1970's.  Rhodes is the principal town on the largest of the Dodecanese islands of Greece, known for the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  The traditional woman's costume is a black jumper with a red and yellow striped full skirt, red belt, white blouse, patterned head scarf, black knee socks, and simple shoes.  One of the variations of this costume is shown on this 5.75" by 4" heavy cardboard postcard, printed in Athens.  The skirt and shirt have been embroidered with black, red, white and goldenrod silk threads.  The smiling woman is standing in Mandraki Harbor with the famous deer sculpture and St. Nicholas Fort behind her.  This Vintage Embroidered Postcard of a Greek Costume from Rhodos is in Like New condition.  It comes in its original packaging with a light blue price(?) insert.
