Tintype of a Mother and Daughter

This is a 19th century Tintype of a Mother and Daughter.  This studio portrait shows a mother and daughter in front of a foliage and landscape backdrop.  The mother sits with her body turned towards her daughter, while her daughter stands facing the camera with one hand on her mother's shoulder.  Both women look at the camera.  Each is dressed in an elaborate dress and wears jewelry which has been painted gold.  Their cheeks have been hand tinted pink.  The photograph is in a 4" by 2.5" blue mat with red border decorations.  This Tintype of a Mother and Daughter is in good condition with some slight imperfections in the emulsion and small stains on the mat.  The tin is undamaged.
