Stamped Raw Brass Lion Head

This is a Stamped Raw Brass Lion Head, measuring 1.875" (48mm) high by 1.75" (44mm) wide by 0.5" (13mm) deep.  The lion has a fierce expression with narrowed eyes, knitted brows and a set, unsmiling mouth below a wide nose.  His face is surrounded by a large mane through which his ears are poking out.  Maker and age are unknown.  This may have been an earring or an attachment, as there is the remainder of a cut post on back.  This Stamped Raw Brass Lion Head is in Very Good condition with no damage or wear.
