This is a beautifully detailed Miniature Western Painting of a Cowboy on the Range. It shows a cowboy on horseback rounding up a steer that has moved away from the herd. There is desert foliage and a majestic purple mountain, suggesting that this scene takes place in the Southwest. The painting measures 3" wide by 2" high and has been set in a simple, unpainted wood frame. The surface of the canvas is textured and the painting style shows both realistic and abstract qualities. There is a signature in black in the lower right hand corner. It appears to be "Ryth" or "Ruth" but I was unable to find any information on the painter. The back is marked "#13." This Miniature Western Painting of a Cowboy on the Range is in Like New. (It was purchased from its original owner.)
