Old Romeo y Julieta Cigar Advertising Card

This is an Old Romeo y Julieta Cigar Advertising Card, promoting Gran Fabrica de Tabacos de Rodriguez Arguelles y Cia of Havana, Cuba.  The Rodriguez Arguelles y Cia factory, owned by Jose Rodriguez Fernandez from 1903 to 1954, produced the quality cigar brand, Romeo y Julieta.  The front of this 4.5" wide by 3.25" high advertising card has a beautifully printed colorful scene of a woman standing on a staircase which leads into the water.  There are buildings with spires, including a church, and sailboats behind her.  The scene is encircled with an oval wreath of many varieties of colorful flowers.  The back, printed in red ink on thin, off-white paper, shows multiple medallions with portraits and scenes (possibly from coins) encircling a central oval of Romeo reaching up to Juliet on the balcony.  The text includes information such as telephone number, cable and street addresses, and the Rodriguez Arguelles guarantee signature.  This Old Romeo y Julieta Cigar Advertising Card is in very good condition.  Wonderful piece for a cigar collection or collage.
