This is a handcrafted 11" tall Mexican Day of the Dead Paper Mache Skeleton with Hat. He is composed of three pieces: a head which is attached to his body by a spring and his hat. His head is proportionately oversized and tilted over his left shoulder. His face has been painted in black with simple features (8 teeth, arched brows, C-shaped ears, two stroke nostrils and a cross on his forehead) and his large eye sockets have been highlighted with glitter. His one-piece body has very short arms, defined rib cage and pelvis, and long legs with big feet. His ribs, fingers and toes have been painted in simple black strokes. In addition, he has a circle with a dot on the top of each thigh and a two-stoked ovoid shape on each thigh and on each upper arm. The back has no embellishments. He wears a blue pointed, wide-brimmed cardboard hat with white triangular decorations, which is permanently attached to his head. He appears to be a contemporary piece. Maker is unknown. This Mexican Day of the Dead Paper Mache Skeleton with Hat is in Very Good condition with natural imperfections but no damage.
