    This is a March 1854 Issue of Litell's Living Age (No. 512 of the New Series), containing reprints from other  British and American publications (such as Household Words, Edinburgh Review, New Monthly Magazine, Examiner and Athenaeum).  In general, it was published on a weekly basis from 1844 to 1941.  The 47 pages of text include: poetry, literature reviews, personal accounts, letters, costume and court etiquette, and adventures.  There are also 4 double-sided pages of advertising. The engraving of "The Marriage Contract" is missing.  Each page measures about 9.25" high by 6" wide, bound together with a single cord.  The covers are made of brown paper and have separated from the body of the magazine.  This March 1854 Issue of Litell's Living Age is in Fair condition.  The pages are clean, slightly yellowed with wonderfully uneven edges.  Ideal for use in collage or other art projects.
