This is a 19th century Tintype of a Woman Leaning on a Chair. The photograph shows a woman leaning her crossed arms against the back of a chair as she poses in front of a painted garden backdrop. She is wearing a dark pleated skirt and ruffled jacket with a patterned scarf. She is staring, unsmiling, into the distance. The photograph measures 3.5" by 2.5" and has been sepia-toned. The emulsion of this Tintype of a Woman Leaning on a Chair is in very good condition. However, there is a crease in the lower right hand corner of the tin.
