This is a Hand Carved and Signed Santa Claus Ornament, created in 2000. Santa has been carved from a solid piece of wood and hand painted in his traditional red and off-white fur outfit with black shoes. He has white moustach, beard and eyebrows; large blue eyes; and open red mouth, giving him an expression of surprise. He is shown with both hands tucked into his pants pockets. Santa stands 4.125" high, which includes the square unpainted wood base. He has a brass eye hook for hanging. He is signed below the base, although the signature is difficult to read. It appears to say W.J. Dadson or Dodson. There are also the initials "W.J.D." on the back of the bottom of his left pants leg. No information has been discovered about this artist. This Hand Carved and Signed Santa Claus Ornament is in Like New condition.
