Full Plate Tintype of a Young Boy with Straw Hat

This sweet Full Plate Tintype of a Young Boy with Straw Hat measures 8.5" high by 6.5" wide and is sepia toned.  The studio portrait shows the boy seated in a low chair with fringed back and skirt, one leg tucked under him and his straw hat with bowed ribbon held in his lap.  He wears a boy's dark sailor-style suit with short pants (or skirt?), sash, long socks and high-button shoes.  A gold circle has been hand painted at the front of his collar.  He looks away from the camera, unsmiling.  This Full Plate Tintype of a Young Boy with Straw Hat is in better than fair condition.  There are rust spots on the front of the photograph, although none are on the boy's face, hands, hat or shoes.  Ideal for an art project.
