This is the 2006 catalog Carol Mothner: A Voice of Her Own, published by the Gerald Peters Gallery of Santa Fe, NM in conjunction with her exhibit at the gallery.  Carol Mothner is a New York-born artist who has lived and worked in the Southwest for over 25 years.  Her work has centered on some of the traditional genres of painting -- interiors, floral still lifes, landscapes, and portraits.  Mothner proposes a uniquely feminine sensibility to her work, declaring that it is immediately recognizable as having been created by a woman.  Her subjects (as can be seen in the portraits in this catalog) are uniformly women (both young and old).  Other imagery in this exhibit include birds and dragons integrated with text.  Works have been rendered in egg tempera, gouache, watercolor, ink, graphite, monotype, embroidery on satin and satin applique.  This 48 page catalog has an introduction by John d. O'Hern of the Arnot Art Museum.  Text in English.  This copy of Carol Mothner: A Voice of Her Own is in Like New condition.  (ISBN 1-931717-19-2)
