This is a Boer War Lead Soldier Style 1, measuring 1.5" high by 1.75" wide (including gun barrel) and 0.75" deep. The soldier is shown kneeling on his right knee with his gun raised at shoulder height. He is wearing a uniform with a gray jacket; tan pants; dark gray leggings; brown shoes; white helmet (with what appear to be brown goggles); a white belt, water bottle and shoulder bag; and dark brown bandolier with gold bullets. His face has been painted with black dot eyes; large, round red cheeks; and a black mustache. He also has a fringe of black hair. The soldier is unmarked but may have been made by Britains. He was clearly made by the same company that manufactured the Boer War Lead Soldier Style 2. Age is unknown. This Boer War Lead Soldier Style 1 is in Better Than Good condition. There are paint chips on one side of the gun barrel and on the bottom of the water bottle.
