This item consists of three Antique Victorian Ritters Fruits and Jellies Advertising Cards, copyrighted Ketterlinus, Philadelphia. The lithographed cards show: (1) a man in a top hat and a woman with a parasol being show Ritters's products in a store window by a bellman whose coattails are being pulled by a dog; (2) two boys running from a policeman and spilling their steal of Ritter's products, some of which are seen in a store window behind them; and (3) a young boy watching a seated toddler spill blackberry jam in front a pyramid of Ritter's products. Each card measures about 4" high by 2.5" wide and has been printed in a palette of vibrant reds, greens, blues, and golden yellows with pastel green, pink, copper and light grayed purple, accented by white and black. The text reads "Try Ritter's Preserved Fruits, Jellies, Jams and Fruit Butters" in undulating rows. All three cards had been glued into an album, showing signs of this on back. Two of the Antique Victorian Ritters Fruit and Jellies Advertising Cards are in Very Good condition on front. One is missing about 0.5" of its upper left hand corner. Ideal for collecting or use in art.
