Antique Indian Head Penny Button Covers

This is a set of nine Antique Indian Head Penny Button Covers with pennies dating from 1883 to 1899.  Each measures 0.75" (19 mm) in diameter and shows the profile of a young Native American man in a short feathered headdress.  "United States of America" is written in an arch inside the rim.  The backs are standard flip-open button covers, seven in brass and two in silver-toned metal.  These Antique Indian Head Penny Button Covers are in generally Good condition.  The pennies show varying amounts of wear, suggesting that they were in circulation at one time.  The 1883 penny has lost many of its details.
