This is a lightly toned Antique Cabinet Card of Two Young Boys in White Dresses. Judging by their hairstyles, the photograph shows two boys dressed in identical long, high-waisted white dresses with lace collars and puffed sleeves. The baby boy is seated in a decorative wicker chair, while the toddler boy stands with his right hand resting on the chair back. Taken in the studio, there is a floral patterned rug and foliated garden landscape with sculptural pillar backdrop. A floral cloth under the baby drifts out of the picture on the left hand side. A parent's arm may have been holding the child under this cloth, which is often seen in photographs of this era. Both children look directly at the camera with big, dark eyes, unsmiling. The photograph, measuring 5.375" high by 3.875" wide, has been mounted on a 6.5"x 4.25" white cardboard backing with rounded corners and embossed at the bottom with "Sparks Marshalltown Iowa" with an S logo and decorative flourishes. A C W Sparks did work in Marshalltown Iowa in the 19th century. No other information on him could be found. This Antique Cabinet Card of Two Young Boys in White Dresses is in Very Good condition with no damage or wear.
