This is a pair of large African Polka Dot Batik Bone Beads. These beads are handcrafted from bone and dyed in deep brown, almost black, using the batik method (a wax relief process). Each 1" (25mm) long by 0.75" (19mm) wide by about 0.625" (16mm) thick has been carved from cow bone by hand and is, therefore, unique. The hole is about 0.1181" (3mm) in diameter. Maker, country of origin and age are unknown. These African Polka Dot Batik Bone Beads are in Very Good condition with no damage or wear.
