This is a stunning 1950s Weiss Clear Rhinestone Necklace, each of its rhinestones glowing like prisms in the light. The front of the necklace features two rows of decoration. The top row has a double line of 5mm squared rhinestones from which hangs a 11mm round center stone, small side swags of 5mm square stones, and a 6mm round stone on each end. The bottom is even more detailed with a single line of 5mm square stones topped with five 9mm round stones at the center and two 6mm round stones at each end. Below are six double swags of 5mm square stones punctuated with four 9mm navettes (rhinestones cut as a marquise or faceted teardrop) and a centerpiece of a 9mm circular stone with three 9mm navettes fanning out at the base. The back of the necklace is made up of a single row of 5mm square stones with a 9mm round stone at one end. All of the rhinestones are in pronged silver toned (plated?) settings which are on movable metal connectors. The necklace measures 14.25" in circumference (choker length) with the center hanging down to about 2.125". There is a simple hook clasp. The piece is signed Weiss on the 11mm round center rhinestone. This 1950s Weiss Clear Rhinestone Necklace is in very good condition with no missing, replaced or darkened rhinestones.
