This item consists of three 1930s Heart Shape Valentines. The valentine (top left) shows a little girl in a blue and white dress and bonnet hugging a white valentine box tied with a pink ribbon. She is inside a heart with a gold background, surrounded by a scalloped border with white hearts and pink,white and yellow flowers with blue stems on gray-green grass. Inside there is a simple black and white drawing of bow and a heart flanked by three butterflies with a poem about having her heart. The back has the Whitney made logo and a pen inscription saying "Lucille Myers From Esther S." The valentine (top right) shows a little boy in a pink sailor suit and white cap roller skating in the landscape. He is surrounded by an unusual shaped doilie with a scalloped edge and two bouquets of pink flowers. Inside there is a simple black and white drawing of a flying bird carrying a heart with a poem about adding this valentine to the long list of cards she is receiving. Both these Whitney Made valentines measure 3.25" high by 3.25" wide. The valentine (bottom) shows a little girl in a blue and white checked playsuit and bonnet on a swing. She is moving out of a heart with a landscape into a border of multi-colored butterflies on a red and gold checked background. Inside there is a black and white drawing of a seated young boy and a dog on its hind legs in front of a black half circle with a poem about being brave enough to ask her to be his valentine. The back has the Carrington Co. logo (with a fir tree and a capital A) and a pencil inscription reading "To Jay From Jack Elaine." This card measures 3.4375" high by 3.375" wide. These three 1930s Heart Shape Valentines are in Very Good condition, although the gold heart has some small scrapes.
