These are two 1918 Large Color Prints from The Patsy Book, written and illustrated by Anne Anderson and published by Thomas Nelson & Sons of London.  Anne Anderson (1874-1952) was a Scottish artist who illustrated over one hundred books for children.  Influenced by Jessie M. King and Mabel Lucie Attwell, Anderson knew how to create for a child's mind.   She is known for the decorative and lightly drawn quality of her black and white images and the delicate palette of her color plates.  The Patsy Book presents the misadventures of Patsy (boy), Patty (girl) and Pat (dog).  These pages show Patsy, Patty and Pat steal milk and cookies in "The Raid" and saving Pat from the drowning in the river in "Pat's Adventure."  Each page measures 11.375" high by 9" wide (with an image of 9.125" by 7") and is printed on heavy weight paper in a pastel palette.  These 1918 Color Prints from The Patsy Book are in Very Good condition.  Ideal for framing or use in art projects.
