This item consists of nine 1909 Prints from The Chatterbox of Birds, written by Anna Robinson and published by M.A. Donohue & Co. of Chicago. The prints include: (1) a woodpecker being chased by a squirrel; (2) two heron-like birds on a riverbank; (3) a long-plumed bird attacking another bird with a third bird watching in the background; (4) a rabbit confronting a puffin; (5) a bird grabbing a dead mouse; (6) two birds on a railroad track with one flying away; (7) a wren with a nest of baby birds in a vest pocket; (8) two grackles confronting an owl while two smaller birds watch; and (9) a bird over small nest with six eggs. Each page measures about 9.5" high by 6.75" high with the black and white illustrations varying in size from 6.75"x 5.75" to 5.5"x4.5". Some have thin black borders, others do not. The paper is of a medium weight and has significantly browned over time, giving the images a patina of age. In general, these 1909 Prints from The Chatterbox of Birds are in Very Good condition. The page with the birds on the railroad tracks has a 1.5"x0.5" piece missing in the upper left hand corner. Ideal for use in art projects.
