This is an 1892 Chromolithograph of The Bringing Up of the Ark from the Holy Bible published by Gately and Fitzgerald of Philadelphia. The print refers to the text in 2 Samuel 6:15: "So David went and the entire assembly of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and the sounding of the ram's horn..." It shows the ark being carried by an ox drawn cart, surrounded by men and women playing horns, cymbals and harps. Measuring 10.5" high by 8.5" wide, the chromolithograph has intricate details and vibrant colors, which were produced by Geo. S. Harris & Sons of Philadelphia (a well-known printing company of the time). The paper is tan in color and medium in weight. This 1892 Chromolithograph is in Very Good Condition with no tears or damage. Ideal for framing.
