This 1869 Chromolithograph Print of A Roman Farmyard is from Thomas Wright's Womankind in Western Europe (from the earliest times to the seventeenth century), published by Groombridge and Sons, London.  The print, measuring about 8.25" high by 6.25" wide, shows a Roman courtyard surrounded by buildings, archways and sculptural elements and occupied by 6 figures and 8 animals (pigs, dogs and goats).  In the background are other buildings, landscape and a pink-blue sky.  It has been beautifully printed in pastel and grayed colors with accents of gold and a brown double line border.  "A Roman Farmyard" is written in thin black block letters on the 0.75" cream-colored border.  This 1869 Chromolithograph Print of A Roman Farmyard is in very good condition with no damage, wear or fading.
