This is a bone china Wedgwood Kutani Crane Miniature Teapot, made in England in the 1970's in what is now a discontinued pattern. On each side, the teapot shows a blue and yellow crane with red head feathers, standing a branch with its head turned over its back and its right leg lifted. The bird is surrounded by lush vegetation, including two vermilion and two pink flowers (peonies? which bring good fortune), and blue-lavender rocks. The knobbed lid has two sprays of pink and blue flowers with leaves. Beneath the spout is a single vermilion flower and leaves. At the top opening is a ring of flowers, leaves and an abstract design (a green cross inside a diamond). There are accents of gold on the lid, handle and top opening. This miniature teapot measures 1.75" (44mm) high by 3.5" wide (89mm) from spout tip to handle edge. The bottom is marked with a black and white teapot and the words "WEDGWOOD (R)", "Bone China" and "Made in England." It comes in its original box. This Wedgwood Kutani Crane Miniature Teapot is in mint condition with no damage or wear.
