This is a bone china Wedgwood Kutani Crane Miniature Teacup Saucer and Plate, made in England in the late 1970's in what is now a discontinued pattern. The plate, measuring 3.125" (79mm) in diameter, has a blue and yellow crane with red head feathers, standing on a branch with its head over its back and its right leg lifted. The bird is surrounded by lush vegetation, including two vermilion and pink flowers (peonies? which bring good fortune), and blue-lavender rocks. This center design and the outside edge of the plate are surrounded by a ring of flowers, leaves and abstract designs (a green cross inside a diamond) with three sprays of arched flowers between the rings. The plate is edged in gold. On both sides of the teacup, measuring 0.875" (22mm) high by 1.5" (38mm) wide (including handle), is the same crane design but with four flowers and less vegetation. There is a gold ring around the top and a gold streak down the handle. The 2.125" (54mm) in diameter saucer has the same floral, abstract and gold designs as the plate but without the center crane pattern. The bottoms of all three pieces are marked with a black and white double-handled vase and the words "WEDGWOOD (R)," "Bone China" and "Made in England." The original box is included. This Wedgwood Kutani Crane Miniature Teacup Saucer and Plate are in Mint Condition with no damage or wear.
