This 21" vintage rosary has black ovoid beads (perhaps made from an early hard plastic or Vulcanite?), a 2.125" by 1.1875" silver-toned metal crucifix, and a 0.6875" shield-shaped copper connector with Sacred Heart (including cross and crown of thorns) on the front and a profile of the Virgin Mary (with rays) on the back. The crucifix has a sculptural Christ with detailed face and body, which has been attached to the cross at four points. The cross is embossed with an anchor, a fish and a shield with an X-ed letter P and is marked Italy on back. The connector is unmarked. This may be a "married" piece. Exact age is unknown, although all parts of the rosary have a patina of age. In very good condition with slight wear to the back and edges of the crucifix.
