This is a 5.5" x 7.5" Vintage Ohio Art Child's Tin Tray with Girls as Kittens (number 107). The tray has the classic shape with rounded sides and corners and a 0.25" raised border. Lithographed on the tin is a vibrant illustration of three girls dressed as white kittens with colorful bows at the necklines. Two of the girls are addressing flowers with human faces (one set with yellow mittens and another with blue hats). The other girl is reaching out to a yellow bird with a sprig of leaves in its beak who sits in an elevated bird house. A yellow butterfly hovers in the air. There is an abstract white house with red roof in the upper right hand corner; a plaid ground in green, white and yellow on bright red; and a upper left hand triangle of deep blue sky. The tray is stamped with the Ohio Art logo and the number 107 in the bottom left hand corner. The back of tray is a solid pale yellow. It was probably made around 1946. This Vintage Ohio Art Child's Tin Tray with Girls as Kittens is in good condition. It does have some small dents; scratches along the front edges; scratches and minor rust spots on back; and small areas of discoloration in the upper left hand corner of the sky. Ideal for use in assemblage or other art projects.
