This is a pair of Vintage Etruscan Style Round Fobs with Coral Cabochons, probably made in the 1940s or 1950s. Each fob, measuring 1.4375" (36mm) in diameter and 1.125" (29mm) thick, has a 0.4375" (11mm) cabochon in the center surrounded by a two rows (11 in the inner row and 16 in the outer row) of 0.1875" (5mm) cabochons. This design appears on both sides (making a total of 56 cabochons per fob) and is separated by two rows of twisted silver edging. There is also a single row of twisted silver edging around the bezel of the large cabochon. The background and bezel metal appear to be silver, possibly 800 silver, but the fobs are unmarked. It is not known whether the cabochons are stone or glass. They do vary in size and color, which suggests that they may be stone. There is a 0.25" (6.6mm) in diameter by 0.9375" (2.5mm) thick handmade ring, which is missing from one of the fobs and would have to be fabricated. Maker and exact age are unknown. This pair of Vintage Etruscan Style Round Fobs with Coral Cabochons are in better than good condition. One small cabochon has a surface hole which can only be seen under a magnifying glass. One of the large center cabochons appears to have been put back in the bezel, where there are tool marks. By the color, size and surface, this cabochon doesn't look like a replacement.
