This is a late 1940's Chalkware Wedding Cake Topper Bride and Groom with the couple dressed in formal wedding clothes. The bride wears a long-sleeved, V-necked gown with a full textured skirt and simple overskirt. She has a molded white floral crown to which has been attached a piece of real tulle veiling. In her white gloved hands, she carries a painted pink and green bouquet. The groom wears a black swallow-tailed tuxedo with white shirt, white bow tie and white gloves. Both have painted pink complexions and dark brown hair in late 1940's styles. They are made of chalkware, a gypsum-based plaster of Paris. The topper measures 3.75" high by 2" wide by 1.5" deep. Maker and exact age are unknown. This 1940's Chalkware Wedding Cake Topper Bride and Groom is in very good condition. There are two very small spots of missing paint which are on the bride's chin and the groom's right sleeve.
