This is a 2.875" x 1.3125" deeply sepia-toned 19th century Tintype of a Woman with a Floral Bow Collar. The woman has a long face with downturned eyes and a straight expressionless mouth. He hair has been severely pulled back and embellished with a small dark bow on top. Her cheeks have been very faintly tinted pink. The photograph has been slightly overexposed which has washed out the details of her features and given her an eerie look. She is dressed in what appears to be a silk dress with prominent center buttons and a long floral patterned bow. The top and bottom edges of the image suggest that this a tintype of a tintype, perhaps a later copy of an earlier photograph. This Tintype of a Woman with a Floral Bow Collar is in very good condition with no damage to the emulsion.
