This is a pair of Sterling Silver Cross Fleury Post Earrings. The cross fleury (or flory) is a cross adorned at the ends with flowers, generally containing fleur-de-lis or trefoils. This design dates from around 1300 and is frequently found in heraldry. Each of these earrings measures 1.25" (32mm) high by 0.9375" (24mm) wide with a 0.375" (10mm) long post. The back of one is marked "sterling" and both have been stamped with the maker's mark "JW." However, the artist has not been identified. Age is also unknown.
