This Carved Boxwood Ojime Bead of a Standing Camel was inspired by an antique Japanese sliding bead, which was worn on the cord of an inro box suspended from a waist sash. This bead was hand carved by a contemporary Chinese Master-Carver. The bead shows a one-humped camel, standing with his ears down and his tail swished to one side. This camel stands 2.25" high by 1.25" wide by 1" deep. There is one hole for the cord at the back of the base. The carver has signed his name on the underside of the base. The translation of his name is unknown. This Carved Boxwood Ojime Bead of a Standing Camel is in Like New condition having never been used.
