This Carved Boxwood Ojime bead of a Seated Camel was inspired by an antique Japanese sliding bead, which was worn on the cord of an inro box suspended from a waist sash. This bead was hand carved by a contemporary Chinese Master-Carver. The bead shows a two hump seated camel with its four hooves and tail tucked beneath him. This camel stands 1.25" high by 1.75" wide by 1" deep. The two holes for the cord are beside his two front hooves on the underside of the bead. The carver has signed his name here as well. The translation of this name is unknown. This Carved Boxwood Ojime Bead of a Seated Camel is in Like New condition, having never been used.
