These 6 Missouri Sales Tax Receipt Paper Tokens, also known as "Milk-Cap Tokens," date from around 1935 and were issued to collect sales tax when it came to tenths of a cent. Each measures 38 mm in diameter and is made of tan cardboard. The five in aqua have a 1-mill value and the one in orange has a 5-mill value with both showing the state of Missouri seal at the center. The backs are empty, which is characteristic of the earliest tokens of this kind. All of these 6 Missouri Sales Tax Receipt Paper Tokens are in very good condition.
