    This is the second edition (ISBN: 0-9773680-0-9) of Letters to a Young Artist, "An Art on Paper Book" published by Darte Publishing, New York in 2006.  The book contains a collection of two dozen letters all commissioned from established artists to a fictitious "young artist," a recent art-school graduate who is struggling with the moral and practical implications of being an artist in New York.  The young artist asks, "Is it possible to maintain one's integrity and freedom of thought and still participate in the art world?"  Responding artists include Gregory Amenoff, John Baldessari, Xu Bing, Jimmie Durham, Cai Guo-Qiang, Guerrilla Girls, Kerry James Marshall, Yoko Ono, Adrian Piper, Jessica Stockholder, and Lawrence Weiner.  (All participants are listed on the back cover above.)  The paperback book measures 7" high by 5" wide by 0.25" thick and has 96 pages with text in a typewriter font.  This copy of Letters to a Young Artist is in Like New condition.
