These four colorful illustrations were created by Paul Hawthorne for the 1923 edition of Billy Whiskers' Frolics by Frances Trego Montgomery. The images include Billy taking hold of the mistress' nightdress to waken her, Billy and Nannie frightening a laundress so that she sits in her tub, Billy butting the side of a shed, and Billy and Nannie getting on the ferry. Each illustration measures 7" high by 5.5" wide and has a narrow yellow-orange border. The full pages have been trimmed and vary in size (about 8.75" by 6.5"). In very good condition with minor border discoloration.
