This is a 1902 Glass Negative of Common Husk and Wooden Masks, produced by the Visual Instruction Division of the New York State Education Department (written in gold on the sides). The 4" wide by 3.25" high negative shows two Eastern Native American masks identified as Common Husk Mask and Wooden Mask, bordered in gold. When the negative is held up to a light source, these masks can be seen in detail and with more variations in tone. The edges of the negative has been covered with black paper. This 1902 Glass Negative of Common Husk and Wooden Masks is in very good condition.
