This Ernst Heubach Bisque Doll Head measures 5" high and 9.5" in circumference. She has hand painted black upper and lower eyelashes, wispy deep brown eyebrows, an open vermilion bow mouth (with six tiny upper teeth), red dotted nostrils, and red tinted cheeks. Her chin is dimpled and her ears are detailed. Her weighted hand blown blue glass eyes (each 6mm in diameter) have separated from the head but are undamaged. The back of the shoulder plate is incised with Made in Germany over an upside down horseshoe (the symbol for the Ernst Heubach Company) and Hch OH. It is believed that this head was made some time during the first or second decade of the twentieth century. This Ernst Heubach Bisque Doll Head is in good condition. There is a small chip at the base of the shoulder plate on back which appears to have occurred at the time of molding. The more significant damage is a crack that extends from the corner of the left eye below the ear to the middle of the back of the head. (See photographs) Ideal for art projects.
