This is a Decorative Brass Key, measuring 2.625" high by 2" wide. It appears to have been cut from a thin sheet of metal. It has a medieval Gothic design with a diamond-shaped top, each point with a trefoil end and the openwork center with an abstract floral cross. There is a very short shank that leads to a large, squared bit with four Greek key designs (two mirror images on top and two mirror images on the bottom separated by a horizontal bar). Maker and age are unknown. This Decorative Brass Key is in Very Good condition with no damage or wear. The brass has slightly tarnished, giving it an aged look.
