This is the 1926 Book Cover from Tales Told in Holland by Olive Beaupre Miller. The vermilion cloth front cover has a tipped-in brightly colored illustration by Maud and Miska Petersham of a 17th century young Dutch girl with her dog. The title and decagonal (ten-sided) border are in gold. The back cover is plain vermilion cloth. Each cover measures 11.125" high by 7.825" wide connected by a 1.25" spine, which has the book name and "The Bookhouse for Children" in gold. Inside the covers are brightly colored illustrations of antique Dutch life, which are also by the Petershams. This 1926 Book Cover from Tales Told in Holland is in good condition with light staining on the covers, edge wear and a small tear at the bottom of one interior illustration. Ideal for art project.
