This is the wonderful intact 1905 Book Cover from The Childrens Song Book, edited by Alfred W. Tomlyn and published by Anderson's of Edinburgh. The front cover features an illustration by Lawson Wood of a weasel and a toad walking arm and arm in the moonlight. Lawson Wood (1878-1957) was an English painter, illustrator and designer known for his humorous depictions of dinosaurs, policemen, and animals. Each cover measures 9.75" high by 7" wide. They are connected by 0.25" red cloth spine. The illustration was printed on paper and glued on to a heavy board. The back cover is brown paper on heavy board, which may or may not have had an image on it. The interior of both covers is off-white. This 1905 Book Cover from The Childrens Song Book is in good condition with some edge wear. Ideal for art projects.
