This Asian Puppet Head of a King, measuring 7.5" high and 4" wide (at his open work crown), was hand carved and painted. His face is bisected by a bright pink line with part of the face and neck and one ear in pale blue and the other in tan. His eyes (which avoid our gaze) and his eyebrows are detailed in black with green accents. His mouth is painted into a smile in bright pink. Both cheeks are highlighted in pink as well. His crown stands out in metallic gold. He has painted feathered black sideburns but the remainder of his tied back hair (12" long) appears to be black human hair inserted into holes at the base of the back of the crown. Country of origin, maker, and age are unknown. This Asian Puppet Head of a King is in better than good condition with two small chips of paint (base of neck and forehead) and some crazed paint (particularly on the tan side).
