This Antique Silver Bicone Turkoman Bead was handmade by the Baluchi people, a nomadic tribe found in Western Afghanistan, Eastern Iran and Turkmenistan. The bead measures 2" (51mm) long by 1.25" (32mm) in diameter at the center and has a 0.4375" (11mm) hole at each end. The weight is 10 grams. There is a simple repousse design on both cones, a center raised dotted line, and rows of rope-like threads and small scallops at each end. Exact age is unknown. This Antique Silver Bicone Turkoman Bead has some wear, dents and tarnish (often found in these older beads) but no holes.
