These Antique Hardwood Weaving Loom Shuttles and Block were designed for factory looms that produced textiles and ribbons. The large shuttle measures 12" wide by 3" high by 1" wide at the center. It has a sleek design with an arched top and narrowing ends. There is a gear track on one side and its original metal pieces, which held the threaded bobbin. The wood has a rich reddish-brown color. Under the base, it is marked "6" with a curved line below. The smaller shuttle, which may have been used for making ribbon, measures 5.125" wide by 3" high by 1" wide at the center. It has a curved design with a gear track on the outer side, its original metal pieces, and a top ring. The wood has a warm brown tone. It is unmarked. The block measures 3.125" wide by 1.375" high by 2.5" deep. It has six gears which extend beyond the block on both sides. There are three holes, where the block was attached to the loom. The wood is a warm brown color and has been incised with the number "16" on one side. Manufacturers and exact ages of these weaving loom pieces are unknown. Given their age and use, these Antique Hardwood Weaving Loom Shuttles and Block are in very good condition. Beautiful pieces for display.
