This item consists of 38 African Silver Bicone Beads, measuring 0.3125" (8mm) high by 0.375" (9mm) in diameter with about a 0.0625" (2mm) in diameter hole. Each bead has a simple round design with a raised center ridge, where the two parts of the bead are joined. Being hollow, they are very lightweight and ideal for use as spacer beads. The material appears to be nickel silver, which is frequently used in Africa by melting down coins. Country of origin and age are unknown, although similar beads can be found in Ethiopia. These African Silver Bicone Beads are in very good condition with no damage or wear.
