This 19th Century Silver Filigree Needle Case is covered in detailed leaves and fronds, which have been formed by thin wires bent into delicate traceries. Even the top and bottom of the case are patterned. The pieces are joined to form a fine seam at the back. There is a simple ball knob on the slipcase style top. The needle case measures 2.375" high by 0.625" wide by 0.3125" deep. The piece is unmarked so that country of origin, grade of silver, and exact age are unknown. It is possible that this needle case was made in Peru. This 19th Century Silver Filigree Needle Case is in very good condition. The front bottom leaf has one wire missing and a small dent in several of the traceries.
